Macey - my artsy girl - is growing up! She recently was a finalist in a story-writing contest. She doodles CONSTANTLY (a sign of intelligence her father says). She loves to read - it was
Nancy Drew, now it's
39 Clues. She skypes her cousins everyday. She is great at giggling, and has finally come to terms with sleep overs (no more "stomach aches")!
We got her a table top easel for her canvas-painting fetish - Jolee and Julia picked out some art instruction books. The boys got her some books and markers. Katelin picked out a notebook and pen.
We went to see the 3D IMAX Hubble on her birthday - SciFest Dubai. Ham and Cheese sandwiches for lunch per her request - quite a treat here in Dubai. We went out for Mexican food Dubai-style at Rosa Mexicano for dinner in the Dubai Mall. My kids have a passion for guacamole! Saturday we had an Afternoon Tea at Crumbs (at 11:30am!) for girls and moms. Julia was unanimously voted to stay home with Dad (she's 3 - enough said!); Jolee choose to - I don't think she knew what she was missing! We had a great time - even dressed up a little.
